Ken Durbin

Experience/Background
Ken Durbin is an experienced facilitator and executive coach who has trained and coached hundreds of leaders around the world. His passion for leadership development started during his time in the U.S. Navy where he experienced, first hand, the impact focused leadership development had on the operational success of organizations. He has carried this passion through more than two decades of advising leaders across many industries, with a particular focus on leading organizations through times of rapid change. At Ernst & Young, Ken led the development and rollout of global leadership programs on five continents. For the past 12 years, Ken has run a successful coaching and consulting practice during which he has worked with a breadth of organizations and individuals in the high-tech, publishing, real estate, legal, health care, not-for-profit, and military sectors. Ken has helped his clients:

Coaching: Throughout his career, Ken has coached clients on a variety of leadership and career topics, helping them turn insight into action to achieve success in what they were seeking. Currently, a large part of Ken’s coaching focuses on helping technically-oriented leaders develop and hone a well-rounded set of skills to successfully make the leap to senior executive and C-suite roles. Using a direct, competency-based approach, he works with each individual to build a keen awareness of how they can leverage their unique skills to develop an authentic approach to leadership that maximizes their influence within their own teams and across the broader organizational boundaries.
Consulting and Facilitating: Ken has worked with a variety of organizations on change management as well as leadership and team development issues.

Education/Certification
Ken holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma and a Professional Coaching Certification from New Ventures West. He has been a certified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator for almost 20 years. More recently, he has been working extensively with the Enneagram and Strengthsfinder™ to help his clients gain personal insight.
