Experience/Background Karen has over 30 years experience growing and developing employees, leaders, products and brands as an executive, consultant, trainer and certified Integral Coach. Her 12 years in strategy and brand management at Procter & Gamble served as a foundation for her career. After consulting in the early 90's at Apple, Intuit, Sun and Intel she served as a VP at two venture-backed start-ups. Coaching: Karen has extensive experience with all levels of leaders from C-level executives to first time managers across a wide variety of disciplines. Karen provides individual coaching, collaborative coaching for work partners and group coaching. Leaders working with Karen laud her ability to help them acquire the social and emotional intelligence required for them to make a fundamental difference both in their ability to deliver excellent results through others and in building the resilience needed to sustain optimal performance in the midst of highly demanding lives. Consulting and Facilitating: Over the last two decades, Karen has served the semiconductor, computer, software, internet services, e-tailer, digital gaming, green/clean tech, biotech, household products and non-profit sectors. At organizations ranging from Fortune 100 to Silicon Valley start-ups she is known for facilitating clearly articulated strategic purpose and direction, fostering effective executive teamwork and transforming managers into inspiring organizational leaders. She has designed and delivered training programs that helped build the leaders, teams, processes and culture required to grow the business. Education/Certification Karen holds a BA from Wellesley College and an MBA in finance from Washington University. Karen is an accredited ToP® Facilitator and a certified Integral Coach who mentors, certifies and trains coaches. Karen leverages the Denison Organizational Cultural Survey, a number of 360 and personal assessment systems, and a full toolkit of strategic planning models and facilitation methods to aid her in coaching and developing clients and teams. As an accredited Enneagram teacher, she provides EnneaGuide Leadership Development programs focused on social and emotional intelligence. Publications/Affiliations/Achievements Karen is a member of the International Enneagram Association and has spoken at three of their recent International conferences. Karen hikes, camps and occasionally back-packs. She studies the ongoing developments in Neuroscience so she can apply them in coaching leaders. She's been excited recently to see how building core competence in Strategic Narrative and storytelling helps leaders be the inspiring visionaries we need in today's world.
